Lynn Shirk of  Hummelstown, PA  has be fascinated by the patterns and colors that exist in nature. The spiral of a nautilus shell and the iridescence of butterfly wings are two sources of her inspiration that can be observed in her work. 

“I enjoy creating art using different media. Currently, I am concentrating on fusing glass in a variety of ways by using glass powder to “paint” with glass and she also creates jewelry and other 3Dobjects by fusing overlapping pieces of glass.

As a Dichroic Glass and Hammered Copper Jewelry artist she creates unique jewelry pieces featuring hammered copper and spiral pieces.

Lynn chose the name Laberinto Designs as the name of her business because it combines two important areas of her life, art and language. Laberinto is the Spanish word for Labyrinth. “I graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art and Spanish. I spent the next thirty-six years teaching Spanish in the public school system of Pennsylvania while continuing to explore the world of art in my spare time.” 

I am excited to have more time to dedicate to art now that I have retired from teaching.

Lynn Shirk, de Hummelstown, Pensilvania, se ha sentido fascinada por los patrones y colores de la naturaleza. La espiral de la concha de un nautilus y la iridiscencia de las alas de una mariposa son dos fuentes de inspiración que se pueden observar en su obra.

Disfruto creando arte con diferentes medios. Actualmente, me concentro en la fusión de vidrio de diversas maneras, utilizando polvo de vidrio para "pintar" con vidrio. También crea joyas y otros objetos tridimensionales fusionando piezas de vidrio superpuestas.

Como artista de joyería de vidrio dicroico y cobre martillado, crea piezas únicas con cobre martillado y piezas en espiral.

Lynn eligió el nombre Laberinto Designs para su negocio porque combina dos áreas importantes de su vida: el arte y el lenguaje. Laberinto significa laberinto en español. Me gradué de Hope College en Holland, Michigan, con una licenciatura en Arte y Español. Pasé los siguientes treinta y seis años enseñando español en el sistema escolar público de Pensilvania, mientras seguía explorando el mundo del arte en mi tiempo libre.

Me emociona tener más tiempo para dedicarme al arte ahora que me he jubilado de la docencia.

Victor Rafael Blanco Montaño by way of Kentucky, USA and Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. 

Rafael creates a line sculpture and jewelry in which he uses recycled cutlery and other materials such as brass, copper, stones or glass.  

Founder of Galeria Pauyet, https://www.facebook.com/share/1ATuHrmEjZ/, Rafael recently won First Prize in the “Sculpture” division at the fall Art Association of Harrisburg Members Show. His work is also in their sales gallery.

Rafael's hobbies include cycling, fishing and yard sales. Rafael is married to Maipu, who manages their two galleries.

He has exhibited his work across the globe and we are fortunate to have such high caliber jewerly and sculpture here at the Gallery.

Oscar lives in Camaguey, Cuba where he also has an art gallery and studio.   This September, 45 pieces from his exposition "Maria" were brought back to Hershey for our fall opening. He recently won an award in the "Other Media" division at the Art Association of Harrisburg members show. 

Lasseria studied Artistic Education and Plastic Arts at the José Martí Higher Pedagogical Institute, Camagüey, Cuba. A full time artist, he has traveled to many countries, including the States, to exhibit and teach his work. He is internationally know for his ceramic work and paintings. 

Born in Florida, Camagüey, Cuba, 1950 Oscar attended the Academy of Plastic Arts "Vicentina de la Torre" Camagüey. National School of Art Instructors, Cubanacan, Havana. Bachelor's degree in teaching Plastic Arts, Higher Pedagogical Institute, Camagüey. *Member of the ANTILLANO GROUP. *Member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, UNEAC. *Member of the International Association of Visual Artists. *Honorary Member of the Igneri Foundation for Art and Archaeology, Dominican Republic. *Founder and Honorary Member of the Cuban Association of Artisan Artists, ACAA.

Lasseria has exhibited in galleries and expositions around the world. Bringing his work to Hershey is an honor for us. 

Oscar reside en Camagüey, Cuba, donde también tiene una galería de arte y un estudio. Lasseria estudió Educación Artística y Artes Plásticas en el Instituto Superior Pedagógico José Martí, Camagüey, Cuba. Artista a tiempo completo, ha viajado a numerosos países, incluyendo Estados Unidos, para exponer y enseñar su obra. Es reconocido internacionalmente por su cerámica y sus pinturas.
